• WHAT IS A WDT TOOL? — WDT stands for Weiss Distribution Technique. Fine, angled needles gently whisk ground coffee in your portafilter to remove clumps and even out distribution before tamping.
• COMPATIBILITY: WORKS WITH ANY ESPRESSO PORTAFILTER — The needles reach into the basket, so there is no size or brand to match. Use it with Fellow Espresso Series 1 or any other espresso machine, after grinding and before tamping.
• WHY USE IT? — Coffee grounds clump after grinding, and clumps let water find uneven paths through the puck instead of soaking it evenly. That is called channeling. Distributing the grounds before you tamp helps prevent it.
• SLIDES OPEN, STORES CLOSED — A smooth slide-open mechanism reveals the needles during use and retracts them fully for safe storage between shots.
